Gambling Cheap: The Joy of Low Stakes Vegas Gambling
The idea of gambling may be overwhelming, especially to those who have little to gamble. There are those casinos that offer no less than a ten dollar blackjack minimum, but then there are places around Las Vegas where gamblers can spend a little less cash for just as much fun. In fact, cheaper casinos provide the same experience, including the free drinks, and more game for your buck.
The Western
The Western is a downtown hotel with shabby rooms (hey, they are $20 a night or less), but not-so-shabby deals on gambling. Three dollar minimum blackjack is a Western favorite. On twenty dollars, players can often last for hours at the blackjack table. And of course, there are rows upon rows of penny slot machines. And, you do receive free drinks, though perhaps not the best cocktails you have ever tasted. Regardless, if you are wanting hours of recreation, gambling at the Western will provide it.
The Gold Spike
The casino is one of the dirtiest in town, but it is also one of the cheapest! You may not want to spend the night at this hotel that doesn’t offer a pool or cable, but, if you’re looking for a cheap game of blackjack, the Golden Spike is one place to go. The minimum is two dollars a hand. And then there is the “Copper Mine,” the largest room full of penny slot machines in the world. Take twenty bucks, and enjoy.
The Klondike
The Klondike is one of the least expensive casinos on the Strip. There is an Olympic-sized pool here, so if you want a room, you do have that convenience. But, the Klondike is still a cheap hotel by all standards. The casino is small and the selection is low, but it’s cheap. Blackjack minimums are as low as two dollars, which is the lowest you will find on the Strip. Then there is also a ten-cent roulette wheel, and of course nickel slot machines. The free drinks aren’t the best, but you can make your money go farther with the lower minimums. |
