Feeling Lucky? An Investigation into the Most Expensive Gambling Casinos

Casinos come in all shapes and sizes, from the large to the small, from the cheap and to the outright extravagant. While there are those casinos that have low blackjack minimums and penny slots, there are also those that can cost the gambler a pretty penny just to play the game. While some of these are on the Strip, there are those that are off the Strip that are equally as upscale. Three of these casinos are the Bellagio, the Venetian, and the Hard Rock.

The Bellagio

Even the name is fancy! This is one of the most popular hotels on the Strip. The rooms in the Bellagio are phenomenal, offering 550 square feet of marbled floors, separate tubs and showers, and much more. There six pools with whirlpools that are heated and opened year round. But what about the casino? The casino at the Bellagio offers everything, from blackjack to baccarat. Most tables have ten dollar minimums and one dollar slot machines, though some nickel slots are sprinkled around.

The Venetian

The Venetian, like the Bellagio, is a very swanky hotel on the Strip with 650 square feet rooms and amenities to end all amenities. There are five pools and everything is wired for the traveling professional. The casino is equally as swanky. Blackjack minimums run fifteen dollars and up, and crap minimums run from ten dollars and up. The machines run from five cents, to five hundred dollars! And enjoy the cocktails. They are free and good.

The Las Vegas Hard Rock

The Hard Rock Hotel is also a much sought-after resort. The rooms are trendy and the pool is awesome, with a sandy floored area and swim-up blackjack. Then there is the Hard Rock casino. While the casino is small, there are table games, including five dollar blackjack minimums. While this may be a far cry from the fifteen dollars at the Venetian, the blackjack tables at the Hard Rock are not known for their generosity. Plus, these are the weekly rates, which increase dramatically when the weekend comes along.
